The Manitou Incline:

If you are in search of a great place to watch the sunrise, come join us at the top of the Manitou Incline! Tony actually runs this pretty frequently--it's a great way to stay in shape!

The Manitou Incline was originally completed in 1907 as a one mile cable tram built to support the construction of a hydroelectric plant and its waterline.

After performing this service, the railway was purchased by Dr. Brumbach and turned into a tourist attraction.

If you are interested in a fitness challenge, the incline offers access to to Barr Trail, Barr Camp, and the summit of Pikes Peak!

Be sure to gear up before taking on this challenge, get expert advice and check out some of our favorite gear from Mountain Chalet.
