Monument

Beautiful Monument lies just to the north and west of Colorado Springs. The town gets its name for the unusual rock outcropping appropriately named, Monument Rock.  Monument is considered part of the Tri-Lakes region, which creeps up into a beautiful canyon to the north.  Monument is approximately 1,000 feet higher than Colorado Springs and often gets significantly more snow.  But the breathtaking views of the Colorado Springs Valley with Pikes Peak looming in the background makes Monument one of the most sought after towns in the area.
